Located on the edge of Marquette University campus and rooted in a neighborhood marked by both poverty and promise, Redeemer is excited about our community collaborations and partnerships to serve our neighbors.
At Redeemer, we are diverse in age, race, socioeconomics, religious background, and education. We draw together as a community of disciples, worshiping God in spirit and truth and serving others with love and faithfulness.
Our worship reflects our diversity, drawing from ancient, traditional, and eclectic elements. We practice thoughtful and creative liturgy.
Show and tell the love of God through Jesus Christ.
Redeemer will be seen as a gift to the community.
A faith community where no one hungers for food or gospel.
All are valued as children of God. Peace and partnership prevail.
Rev. Dr. Lisa Bates-Froiland, Pastor
That story you heard about Pastor Lisa preaching to the cows on her uncle’s dairy farm in Minnesota when she was a kid? It’s true—and, thankfully, a far cry from the sermons she preaches now to the growing congregation at Redeemer. Pastor Lisa began her call at Redeemer in 2011 after shifting careers from teaching communication at Mount Mary College in Milwaukee. Pastor Lisa and her husband David are parents to daughters Maddi, who studies at St. Olaf College and Betsy, who studies at Wesleyan University. Pastor Lisa is available for pastoral counseling including premarital counseling, discussions of neighborhood abundance and vitality, theological banter, and conversations about Redeemer and the next wave of Christian discipleship.
